Chelsea earned her Masters of Fine Arts in Drawing from Claremont Graduate University in 2005. Drawing continues to be a cornerstone of her artistic practice, in more recent work it is combined with other techniques such as experimental printmaking and photography. The Los Angeles Times called her a “technical master” in their review of the exhibition Major Drawings, curated by Carl Berg.
